Choosing the Right College Major!

Many students fall into confusion after completing high school studies. The university is the first step that determines the future, it is considered as a big world full of discovery in which students choose the specialization that matches their inclination to innovate and present their best. Some parents interfere with their children's desire to enroll in the specialization that corresponds to their psychological abilities. Several factors overlap in choosing a major, including family, friends, the media and the Internet, customs and norms, and the prevalence of some misconceptions, which makes the correct choice of specialization difficult and complex, leaving the student confused between his inclinations, the desires of others, and the possibilities available to him.  At first I was one of these students that fell into this chaos and couldn't figure out what I truly wanted. Digital Storytelling : Putting Students’ Passion for Technology to Good Use.

Digital technology in education enables us to find new answers not only to what people learn but also to how they learn, where and when they learn. On top of that, digital technology can help boost the role of teachers, rather than just communicating knowledge, they can become co-creators of knowledge, coaches, mentors and evaluators. Digital storytelling: is a multimedia approach to sharing a narrative. Creators can combine video, photography, sound, text, music and often a narrative voice to share their stories in a digital-media format. In the classroom or even through distant learning ,students can create digital stories in collaborative groups, taking on different roles such as the writer, director, editor and narrator.  In my previous posts, I shared a sample lesson in English Language to enhance reading and comprehension skills, and I thought that the best way to use students' passion for technology is by using digital storytelling where it help students in i dentifying voc

  Following the previous post (sample lesson ), I recorded a podcast about a girl sending a voice letter to Santa Claus explaining what is happening in her country due to Corona Virus. I designed a sample English lesson to target reading and comprehension skills for third graders.  Most of students struggle to memorize vocab words that are essential for their writing skills. This lesson  will help students learn and use Christmas vocabulary words by  completing practice drills. playing cooperative games. writing an original Christmas story experience. Instructional design is the process of taking information and framing it in a way that makes it interesting and easy for learners to understand.  It  blends what we know about: The learners.  The subject matter.
